MGPW – The Master Gardeners of Prince William

As an educational outreach component of our local Virginia Cooperative Extension Unit, MGPW brings the resources of Virginia's land-grant universities - Virginia Tech and Virginia State University - to the people of the Prince William area.

   
The Mission Statement of the Master Gardeners of Prince William (MGPW) is to provide current research-based, horticultural/environmental outreach and education programs for Prince William area residents.   

Our Vision Statement is to develop a culture of environmental stewardship within the Prince William area through education, outreach and volunteering. 

   

WHO WE ARE:

We are a dynamic group of diverse, concerned community volunteers who care about each other and our environment. 

OUR TRAINING:

All our volunteers are trained and have at least 75 hours of horticultural classes and return at least 50 hours of volunteer internship hours in community service before being designated members of Master Gardeners of Prince William.
